·         For a better part of this evening I am mentally debating whether WWJ/ JAM should “abandon” the “image Builder” (at least for some time) – validating of which, seems to slowdown registrations! 29/10/2004 / sentimental attachment?

·         People would want to “access “the right info-while on the move. Less people would want to sit down (or have time) in front of a PC to access in of,

·         Info .delivery would have to be device-neutral & delivery channel-neutral.

·         Job searches for FREE, ON JOBSITES? Could it be? Because, JAM would be them to stay ahead “of other competing job seekers?  JAM enables you to stay Ahead!

·         Could it be that our insistence of elaborate “job preferences”  and on completing elaborate” image BUILDER” are similar attempts – which will put off jobseekers ?

·         Today I have sent a note to Abhi now to simplify both in order to differentiate wwj from all other jobsite’s.

·         Ever-growing no – of graduates, would want jobs whereas jobs seem to be “shirking”! Supply far in excess of demand –in India, but worldwide demand (for skilled) will exceed their local supply.

·         Coupled with this if WTO helps open –up doors to migration / temporary movement of skilled people there could be a huge surge of people from India to developed countries.

·         Wwj will network with jobsites / maps / TV channels / newspapers / lisps/ cybercafés etc.etc.

·         Fours, Image Builder will become, only “input” for developing several profiles of each jobseeker. When aggregated, these profiles will transform onto powerful analytics of immense in tersest to HR mgrs..

·         Wwj/jam is a new combination of “job search” & “Delivery- Mechanism” – both of which exist.

·         Now, with yesterday age, meeting I hope JAM will get launched in Mumbai on 15/12/2004, followed by, TATA indicom, in early January. MTNL might also happen in next 2/3 weeks!

·         No. “Historical Baggage” of a “successful jobsite” that is our competitive advantage!

We will figure-out their “specialization” that will helpful in ZEROING –in on different jobsites for different TYPES of job-advts. The jobsite’s are supply chain.

·         Only way we can ensure that no jobsite refuse to “co-operate” with, is to ensure downloading of job-advts, from a large no .of jobsite’s (from each geographic region) –so that we are not depending on ONE or a FEW sites then the big ones cannot black mail us!

·         BY- “automating” daily downloading (of job advts) process we have reduced our “dependence” in course of time, by offering them some incentives (monetary or otherwise), we plan to get the jobsites to daily on deliver their latest ( last 24 hours) job advts to us. On their own, in a format / database, prescribed by us. This wills eliminate “spidering” on our part- jobsites, become “willing” partiers of our network.

·         If we can pull this off, then, we don’t; need to worry about jobsites frequently changing the structure / format of their job-advts, thereby forcing us to modify our “Downloading” software again again.

·         It took us 4/5 months to design & develop WWJ- including the SMS delivery mechanism, (nov.03/ April 04) but now it has taken more than 8 months to “SELL” The Concept to Mobile service providers! If we were operating in within & months!!

·         If 3 day from today, Airtel manages to get opts PRESS-RELEASE  ( About JAM) in leading newspapers, then ,besides are bound to sit –up & take notice and- hopefully- jump onto the JAM bandwagon!

·         Till today we have kept QUIET and that should pay off. IT IS too late for competitors “beat” us now! Of course!

·         “Monster India & Naukri will come to know about JAM the Moment it gets launched on Airtel. They will the visit WWJ & find out all about our plan / processes   what will be their response? I suppose first reaction would be to, somehow stop us from downloading job-advts from their jobsites!

·         As far as jobsites are concerned, I alone will deal with them –so that they don’t get figure-out, how JAM works technically.  Same with us! Monster & Naukri for us.

·         Most of our consultants have a general idea about JAM / wwj / But I doubt if anyone. Thinks it is likely to become a huge success, of course, in my enthusiasm, I have spoken about JAM of course, in my enthusiasm, spoken about JAM to quite a few people. Very difficult. We will not SELL, database of those who register for JAM but we will enable HR, mgrs... To “blast” their job-advert to any “select”groupout of these (for a FEE, of course)

·         Once we have all major msp tied-up, we are relatively safe (for a whole!)

·         This (proposition ) made me drop “ image Builder” from JAM some 2 month back- when I found out during first few weeks of WWJ ,that only 10% of the jobseekers were taking the trouble to  validate image builder.

·         I have a feeling that image Builder could have proved a BIG hurdle for JAM! As time goes we will find a different what to get jobseekers to give more data about themselves.

·         We will be able to attract talented people, only after a few months when we can show them the NETWORK of msp that we have tied-up with,
