Often, my comments are in the nature of telling myself :

·         When Reliance infocomms’ broadband & interactive TV arrives, we will deliver job alerts on home TV sets & jobseekers will be able to “Apply online” by clicking on their “remotes” JAM will do this.

·         It cannot take a long time for flip dog / Direct employers / Grass its / & Employment 911, to quickly copy wwj business / revenue – model. By time, we must build a formidable network of jobsites and mobile service providers. Our market is not India alone, it entire world.

·         3p is in headhunting / executive industry –but Recruit guru /wwj are in e- recruitment & competing with job sites.

·         With JAM/ wwj/ Recruiter this is what we will try to do.

·         As far as 3p itself is conceded, we may consumed, we may consider a national level “Franchisee – model” centered on our OES/ intranet.

·         Recruiter will be our vehicle to deliver “value Added” e- recruiter ments sews ices to corporates whereas world –wide-jobs will do. The same for jobseekers -&- both will exchange databases!

·         On wwj/ we will only remain an aggregator of jobs. We will not let corporates “post jobs” or conduct “resume- search” can we think in terms of “content- Delivery channels” pc users TV users mobile users print media users. Each  group as a different “set of customers”?

·         ALL jobsite try to “service” jobseekers (Resume Posting / jobserach) although they make no money from this group: their main customers are “corporates” who are paying” subscribers for Resume-search / job posting.  For jousting. For jobsite, jobseekers are necessary EVIL!  In Case, For A Long Time, This Will Remain the same viz: get a job & good candidates.

·         Someday there could be a technology which will enable corporates & jobseekers to completely “bypass” the jobsites (intermediaries) JAM are a partial / first step that direction. But JAM requires jobseeker to post their resumes on WWJ. May be one day   we would get corporates to post their “resumes” (org. charts + job Decryptions ) on Recruiter. Value should not be “find a job Advts” it should be “find a job” similarly –not a Resume- beta candidates.

·         JAM is all about a combination of some features which are even today offered by some jobsites. But one each only where’s we are trying to after all those features at one go in one place.

·         This is exactly we are trying to do in WWJ /JAM. For delivering job alert & resumes (two way traffic) , we  want to use the established network  of mobile –service –providers,  which reaches 34 million to day & growing at 1.5 million months. They will be our Distribution System next will be TV announced yesterday.  Recruiters Guru will ride piggyback on WWJ were talking of plant text + Image Builder + Apply online + Feedback + agree gation + mobility.  

·         To develop “Image Builder” thru Guru mine is not so easy (but not impossible).

·         If jobsites start “delivering” resumes to corporates, why should they “subscribe” for Resume – Search? (95% of revenue gone!)

·         That is us! Thru JAM we are trying this. Monster / Naukri just cannot ditch their existing business model & revenue model which, they would need to do, it they wish to compete with JAM, on JAM’s rules,

·         Companies must hire talented exes from where they are available at lowest salary this will be a factor in JAM’s success.

·         Arun Tadanki (monster India country manager) bought jobsahed for Rs- 40 cr. For its 2.2 million resume database. He would hope to recover this investment by offering these resumes to monster‘s American corporate clients, who wish to “source’ Indian IT But what will happen when those American corporates start receiving ,very same resumes FREE  & directly thru JAM ? Now (us companies) don’t need to “subscribe” to Monster USA for Resume –search!

·         Sachin is already doing this & soon there will be thousands others once JAM starts delivering USA JOB alerts to Indian IT professionals – and their resumes to US co Obviously only few may get selected & get HIB visa-but many more will start working for  these US  companies, from their homes.

·         WWJ/ (skill’s base”) will be a set of innovative – thinking HR managers and oriented software professionals. ONCE jam STARTS making money, we will re-invest in these.

·         We redeployed 300 people when we closed Drilling Business in 1979. But in 2001./2/3, L&T has given Vest 3000 people. !

·         Thru JAM, we don’t’ want to kill jobsites. On the contrary by “partnering” with them & providing new revenue-streams for them, we want them, to “GROW” the concept of Networking / live –and –let-live .will 21th the answer, now mobile phone too is morphing.

·         Search software Agents communication Technology. For us these are the driving forecast.

·         JAM could be the beginning of such a battle, as long as it is self-financing, we will keep up.

I know this will happen but first thing first.  At the root is not having enough funds to acquire needed recourse – s/w developers and not willing to borrow money to fund development of WWJ.

·         Core problems – total job-relate info to all candidates & info to all corporates.

·         JAM is meant for youngsters looking for “Entry level or junior level” jobs, some mid- level executives looking for a job-a change   might also use JAM but I doubt if senior Executives would ever use JAM. ·         Once we have a few million JAM subscribers, we will permit marketers to email / sms their marketing messages to “niche  target groups, which they can create on-the-fly, on WWJ- these groups can created “Age wise/ Endwise / salary wise / city wise / etc. etc. we will charge the marketers RS- 0.10 for each  person / message. This will be far better than newspaper s or TV advertising,

·         When candidates enter their “job preferences” on WWJ, this (designing jobs) is exactly what they will be doing!

·         WWJ would be a “giant Aggregator” and JAM would be its strong “private Brand”

·         For jobserach & apply online, our competitors (monster / Naukri) are charging nothing to jobseekers so why should he pay us ! Mobile services provider anything? But then, JAM is not competing with jobsites on “price” / we simply cannot compete on price,
